Recently a lot of people have been wondering if the new Mars Rover Curiosity will turn up a sign of life. Tens of thousands of Americans anxiously follow Curiosity’s discoveries on Twitter: @MarsCuriosity

If so, would Jews and Christians believe in God any differently? Who ever said God does not have other planets to tend to, other beings to care for? Couldn’t our God be shared with other aliens? Could there be Jewish aliens, Lutheran or Baptist aliens? Do aliens kill each other because they don’t agree about the right way to worship God the way that humans do? Does God have favorite or “chosen” groups of aliens like God’s favorite humans?

How would it change our fundamental belief in God if we learned a different creation story from aliens?
